Children love the holidays and what a blessing it is as Christian teachers and parents to be able to add Jesus into our celebrations. On this page, we will dedicate the activities to holiday Bible ideas for elementary children.

Here are some titles of our favorite holiday Bible games:

“A Story of God’s Love” – This is a perfect lesson for Valentine’s Day, however, anytime you would like to talk about God’s love, this too would tie in nicely. This presentation is part story, craft and a little “magic.” The story follows the telling of the Gospel using the 5 “Wordless Book” colors of yellow, black or dark, red, white or clean, and green. The story uses the heart shape to teach the children about God’s wonderful love for them.

“Journey to the Cross” – This lesson has become a favorite of Scripture Lady fans over the years. It is a visual and Scriptural study of Jesus’ final steps to the cross. This is perfect for Easter and will lend nicely to a reverent talk about the ultimate sacrifice of our Lord and Savior.

“Give Thanks” – Would you like to be on the “Turkey” team or the “Pumpkin Pie” team? Here is a fun lesson on giving thanks to God that your kids will really enjoy. They will be presented various Bible verses on being thankful along with multiple choice quiz questions to help earn points for their team.

“I Pray God Gives You” – For this game you will need to prepare 10 cards that show a nice looking picture of a Christmas present. Each card will display one of the following words: peace, love, joy, strength, healing, wisdom, goodness, patience, confidence, grace. Divide the class into 2 teams.  Tell the children that they are going to have the chance to pick out “gifts” that they would like to give to a friend or family member. Each “gift” shares an example of how the children can pray and ask God to give each gift to someone they love and care about.

“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light for my path.”
