Scripture Lady’s Bible Song Program: The Fruit of the Spirit

Invite the Scripture Lady to present her elementary Bible song program “The Fruit of the Spirit” – a fun Scripture-filled musical presentation based on Galatians 5:22-23.

The Scripture Lady would love to have the opportunity to share with your children one of the most beloved Scriptures in the Bible – The Fruit of the Spirit from Galatians 5:22-23.

Kathy has had the privilege of traveling around southern California for over 2 decades sharing this fun musical presentation designed to help your elementary children to grow in God’s character. According to Galatians 5:22-23, this is “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.”

Here is a quick outline of the program:

The program starts off with the Scripture Lady’s own Bible verse song of “The Fruit of the Spirit.”

Each fruit is highlighted beginning with LOVE. The Bible verse song “Eternal Life” based on John 3:16 is a great way to introduce God’s unconditional love for all the world.

JOY is next. And your kids will have a “jumping” good time as they sing along with Nehemiah 8:10, which proclaims “the joy of the Lord is my strength!” Kathy continues to talk about joy while encouraging the audience to memorize Nehemiah 8:10 while playing “Don’t Get Zonked!” – a very fun, point-earning, team-competing game to learn any Bible verse.

After joy, comes PEACE. Through a unique gospel magic trick presentation, Kathy shares how we can have peace in our lives even though life can get crazy at times.

PATIENCE is next and it always seems to be the hardest character trait to grow in. But the Scripture Lady makes waiting and being patient fun while learning more about the Fruit of the Spirit with the “Apples and Bananas” game.

Next, Kathy encourages the children to show KINDNESS to her while she shares some funny jokes about “Candy in the Bible.” This quick skit has become a fun favorite of kids while they learn that M&M’s, Kit Kats, and Butterfingers are actually in the Bible. You don’t believe her? OK. For those of you who are skeptical, we’ll give one joke away for free:

Did you know there are Kit Kats in the Bible? Sure there are! Just ask Daniel. He had to spend the night with several of them! (Hee-hee!)

The next Fruit of the Spirit is GOODNESS. This is one of the Scripture Lady’s favorite presentations, “Hank’s Ugly Spots” – an engaging gospel magic trick designed to share the truth that we can only be made good by believing in the Lord Jesus Christ as the Savior from our sin.

FAITHFULNESS is a another character trait that God wants us to have. At this point, Kathy sings her new song, “Won’t You Tell Me Now” which helps remind her audience about the many faithful men and women of the Bible.

The program is almost done, but the Scripture Lady shares a little bit about GENTLENESS by singing Colossians 3:12. This verse says, “As God’s chosen people, wholly and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”

Finally, the last Fruit of the Spirit is SELF-CONTROL. Kathy explains that the mark of a wise person is self-control and encourages them to build their lives with God’s wonderful character. When they do this, their lives will be solid as they learn to trust in their loving God. Therefore, ending with the great old hymn “Solid Rock”, put to a modern beat is a great way to close the show.

I hope this outline is helpful and will help you decide to book your program today of “The Fruit of the Spirit.”
