Love Notes from God Bible Program for Preschoolers

Love Notes from God Bible Program is designed to share Jesus and the Bible with your preschoolers.

My Love Notes from God Bible program is a great 45-minute lesson to share with your preschoolers during the month of February. Through the use of catchy Bible songs, Bible games, creative story telling and surprise-filled object lessons, your preschoolers will grow in their knowledge with Jesus and His Word.

Each Scripture Lady program lasts approximately 45 minutes. I create a fun and visually exciting “stage” area designed to captivate your little ones from the beginning to the end of the presentation. Along with a Power Point presentation, I bring in lots of other props and eye-catching goodies to share the Bible and the love of Jesus.

Take a look at this compilation video from some of my preschools:

Below, you will find a quick synopsis of my Love Notes from God Bible program.

This program was inspired by the truth that the Bible is FILLED with love notes to you and me from our Lord. Take these verses for example:

1 John 3:1 – “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us that we should be called children of God.”

Jeremiah 31:3 – “I have loved you with an everlasting love.”

Zephaniah 3:17 – “With his love, he will calm all your fears. He will rejoice over you with joyful songs.”

The children will learn that Jesus loves them very much by understanding that His Word, the Bible, tells us that He loves them.

Opening Song: He Loves Me

My Love Notes from God Bible program starts off with a look at Zephaniah 3:17. This is one of my favorite “love notes” from God, because it tells us that God actually sings songs over us. That is amazing! I write songs and maybe you write songs, but can you imagine what a song written by God must sound like?!! I then lead the children in a song based on Zephaniah 3:17 called “He Loves Me.”

Here is a sample of of the song and moves of “He Loves Me”:

Pollyanne Sings “To Him Who Loves Us”

One of my favorite characters that I get to share with preschoolers is my “cousin” Pollyanne. Pollyanne lives in Louisville, KY and is an aspiring country western singer. But when she’s not busy singing and writing songs, Pollyanne loves to “pop in” during one of my programs and share one of her songs with the children. This time, Pollyanne will be singing a Bible verse song based on Revelation 1:5-6, which says: “To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood be all the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen!”

Pollyanne teaches the children that Jesus loves them so much that He was willing to give His life on the cross to set them free from the sin in their lives. The preschoolers and I join in with Pollyanne to fun country western rendition of this song with a couple of “Yee-Haws” thrown in for good measure.

Take a look at this sample video showing Pollyanne singing “Revelation 1:5-6”:

“Clothe Yourselves with Love” Bible Game

After we say, “Goodbye,” to Pollyanne, I introduce the children to another “love note” from God found in Colossians 3:14, which says: “Clothe yourselves with love which binds us all together in perfect harmony.”

I ask the children to point to their clothes such as their pants or shirts or shoes. I ask them this simple question: “Are you guys wearing clothes?” Of course, their answer is, “Yes!” Then I ask them, “Did you know that God also wants you to be clothed in His love?” Just in case they are not sure about this, I lead them in a fun game. Today, I am giving you the cards and directions to this game below. So, make sure you grab them before I turn it into a product!

A Bible Story Song About Love: “The Story of Naomi and Ruth”

After this fun game, I get to share one of the greatest love stories in the Bible – the story of Ruth and Boaz along with Naomi. This story is one of redemption and grace and love. And I love having the opportunity to introduce this story using my “Bible Story Suitcase.”

Here is a sample of of the song called “The Story of Naomi and Ruth”

To the first 5 people who write a comment below sharing their favorite verse about God’s love, I will give you the downloadable mp3 of this song!

A Bible Object Lesson: The Missing Piece

The next part of my Love Notes from God Bible program leads into a fun object lesson that comes to us via my Bible Mailbox. My “grandma” Scripture Granny sent me a very interesting puzzle that has a piece missing. The preschoolers and I will discover that the missing piece will fill in the picture of Jesus whom we are learning loves us very much.

Scruffy learns that only Jesus can untangle his heart

Is that barking I hear? You bet! But Scruffy is acting very strange. In fact, he is being kind of naughty. So, I check Scruffy’s heart to see what is going on. Come to find out, Scruffy’s heart is all tangled up! How did it get that way? Unfortunately, I forgot to read the Bible this morning to Scruffy and his heart is out of sorts. Therefore, I have the children sing a little love song to him so that Jesus can untangle his heart. Your preschoolers will LOVE Scruffy, which is a Darci Maze puppet. He often steals the show!

Jack and Jill Sing “Praise Him, Praise Him”

Finally, the children and I have a visit from my good friends, Jack and Jill. They help the kids sing the wonderful old classic, “Praise Him, Praise Him.” If you’d like to see “Jack and Jill” in action with another song, take a look at the following sample:
