Let’s Sing to Jesus – The Scripture Lady’s Newest Elementary Chapel

Let’s Sing to Jesus – The Scripture Lady’s Newest Elementary Chapel is designed to share Jesus and the Bible with your kids ages 5 – 11.

Let’s Sing to Jesus is part of The Scripture Lady’s Elementary Chapel Line up for 2019 which showcases 4 musical Bible programs filled with creative ways to teach the Bible to elementary kids. Through the use of catchy Bible songs, Bible games, creative story telling and surprise-filled object lessons, your children will grow in their knowledge of Jesus and His Word.

Each Scripture Lady program lasts approximately 45 minutes. I create a fun and visually exciting “stage” area designed to captivate your kids from the beginning to the end of the presentation. Along with a Power Point presentation, I bring in lots of other props and eye-catching goodies to share the Bible and the love of Jesus.

Take a look at this compilation video from some of my elementary schools:

Below, you will find a quick synopsis of my newest program Let’s Sing to Jesus.

This program was inspired by the sermons about joy I have been listening to lately by John Piper. If you are not familiar with this pastor and speaker out of Minnesota, I highly recommend that you acquaint yourself with him through YouTube or his own site called https://www.desiringgod.org/.

John Piper believes that “God gets the most glory when we are the most delighted in Him.” Delight speaks of joy and teaching children to take delight in Jesus and His Word is what my ministry is all about.

“Let’s SING to Jesus!” is all about singing with joy to Jesus when things are going great and when things are going bad.

The kids will learn the following 4 reasons for singing to Jesus:

Reason #1: We should sing to Jesus because He saves us!

Reason #2: We should sing to Jesus because He loves us.

Reason #3: We should sing to Jesus because He will never leave us.

Reason #4: We should sing to Jesus because He is our good, great God.

I love to tell kids that God will give them the ability to have joy in Him even when their days are hard. They get to see this in the story of Paul and Silas who sang praises to Jesus WHILE they were in prison. This story is great for proclaiming the power of praising God even in the midst of a very hard situation. Paul and Silas sang to Jesus because they knew He was their Savior. This story will also show how Jesus wanted to save the guard who was watching over the two prisoners. It also proclaims God’s power to save His children from difficult situations. In this case, God sent an earthquake to save Paul and Silas, who now had even more reason to sing praises to God!

Take a look at one of the pictures that I will show during a group game the kids will play called “Name that Instrument”:

Next, I share that we should sing to Jesus because He loves us. I use my friend’s awesome product called “Bible Story Sticks” to poetically share many ways that Jesus shows us His love.

Take a look at this video that gives you a sample of another Bible Story Stick Story about “David and Goliath”:

To show that we can sing to Jesus because He will never leave us, “Little Kathy” will make a visit. Elementary kids love when they get a glimpse into what life was like when I was their age. In this skit, Little Kathy is sad that her best friend is moving far away. However, I and the kids will encourage her and remind her that Jesus will never leave her alone. We sing a lively song called “I’m Gonna Sing, Sing, Sing!”

Finally, I address the last reason for singing to Jesus. We should sing to Jesus because He is our good, great God.

At this point, I share a really cool science experiment with dry ice, which I creatively relate to the joy that should bubble over out of lives when we take time to praise Jesus.

Next, I share a true modern day story of a Christian named Aiesha who lives in a Muslim nation. The children will learn that Aiesha was arrested for sharing her faith in Jesus. But when she was thrown into a dark and dank basement by the authorities, she chose to sing praises to Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit. It’s an inspiring story that will bless your kids very much.

For the closing of “Let’s SING to Jesus,” the kids will have fun singing Colossians 3:16, which is all about singing songs, psalms and hymns to the Lord.
