A Crankie Bible story for Creation is a creative way to share the amazing story of creation as found in the book of Genesis.
My Crankie Bible story for creation was written and produced as part of my newest musical Bible program for elementary kids called “God Gives Me Power.” Through the use of “crankie” storytelling this part of the Bible comes to life as the children see light come into existence, waves bobbing to and fro in the sea, birds flying in the air, a dinosaur walk the land and Adam and Eve walking through the shade of Eden.
What is a “crankie” you may ask?
A crankie is an old storytelling art form, popular in the 19th century. Start with a long illustrated scroll that is wound onto two spools. The spools are loaded into a box which has a viewing screen. Then the scroll is hand-cranked while the story is told, or a tune is played or a song is sung. (http://www.podorythmie.com/426568918)

Hi Adriana,Please forgive the delay in responding to your comment about my “Creation” video. I have been busy!Wow! all the way from Romania! I am always thrilled to know that God is taking my work around the world!I am so happy that you like this Crankie.I LOVE using it and the kids really love it, too!I will try and answer your questions as follows:1. How to make the Crankie: My friend made the Crankie for me. For the most part, he followed the directions found on this website: http://www.thecrankiefactory.com/3489712402. I printed off the panels for the scroll onto a canvas material (weight about 8 ounces).3. The silhouette pieces were mainly made from cardboard and my husband attached little pegs on the back so that I could easily hole them.Let me know if you have any other questions.May the Lord bless your ministry ABUNDANTLY! God is so faithful and good beyond what we could ever know.Blessings to you and the children you serve!
Hi. This ideea îs Amazing. Thankyou Scripturi Lady for sharing IT with US. I really want to make IT for our preschoolers. We have a large church with hundreds of children here ( I am from România, Arad, Gloria Penticostal Church). I am thrilled about making this. O can you tell ME what material should I use for The images to be printed on? Simple paper might be too fragile, but plastic material like The ones used for banner or publicity might be too thick for The Light to get through.
Hope you ca-n answer. God bless you for Your creativity and dedication. May He give you many other good ideas for US.
Love in Christ, Adriana Ardeu
