The Lord is My Shepherd Bible Cards for Preschoolers by The Scripture Lady

The Lord is My Shepherd Bible Cards for Preschoolers will be a great resource to help your little ones be introduced to Jesus as their good Shepherd based on Psalm 23.

Use the Lord is My Shepherd Bible Cards for preschoolers during your next Church gathering or home devotion to help them learn that the Bible says that Jesus is their shepherd.

This past spring, I debuted a brand new program for preschoolers called “The Lord is My Shepherd.” It has been such a sweet presentation to share as it reminds all of us that Jesus is our shepherd and we are His sheep. Your young children are like sweet little lambs that God is always watching over. It’s never too early to teach them the concept that Jesus will watch over them and take care of them all the days of their lives.

Below are 2 different activities to do with your young children that will use printable cards .

Activity Number One with The Lord is My Shepherd Bible Cards for Preschoolers

This first activity will use the big “reveal” picture that I use in my “Flip and Find: The Lord is My Shepherd” game. I am giving you 6 posters that will create a large picture of Jesus as our good shepherd. I am also giving you 6 posters that give the first 5 words to Psalm 23 – “The LORD is my shepherd…” The sixth card will give the reference of Psalm 23. I suggest that you print these word cards and place them on the backs of the 6 posters that create the big Shepherd picture. You can use these cards as a way to help your children memorize this part of Psalm 23. These cards will be especially good for early readers. You can practice saying the verse with the children by laying out all of the word cards on a pocket chart or on a table. Ask the children to recite the verse with you and flip over the word card to reveal the big shepherd picture.

Activity Number Two with The Lord is My Shepherd Bible Cards for Preschoolers

The second activity involves a sweet card that I put together that you can print off for each child. Here is the inside of the card:

The inside of the card shares the first part of a poem I wrote that comes from “Jesus is My Shepherd” song. On the left side of the card, you could glue a picture of the child. It will be a sweet reminder to them that Jesus is their good shepherd.
