Bible verse games are great for preschoolers too! Here is one on Psalm 66:12 called “Shout All the Earth.”
Have you ever noticed how most kids love to shout? Maybe it’s all that pent-up energy. Well, God must have known this because there are different Bible verses that encourage all His children to shout. For example, Psalm 66:12 says, “Shout for joy to God all the earth. Sing to the glory of His name. Offer Him glory and praise.” Now that’s a verse your kids can sink their vocal cords into. Here is a super fun Bible verse game to help your kids learn that shouting and singing to God is A-OK!
Here’s what you do:
Bible verse games are fun and for this one you will need a ball of blue yarn about 6 to 8 inches in diameter. Have the children sit in a circle. Read Psalm 66:1-2 to your class and tell them that the ball of yarn is going to represent the earth. Throw or roll the ball to a child and have him shout out a praise or thanks to God. That child will throw the ball to another friend. Make sure each child holds onto a portion of the yarn before throwing it. Eventually there should be a nice “web of praise” from the criss-crossing of yarn.
Here are some possible praises and thanks your kids can shout out to God in case you need to coax them along a bit:
1. Praise You, God, for all You made!
2. Thank You, God, for my family!
3. Praise You, God, for how good You are!
4. Thank You, God, for my friends!
5. Praise You, God, for loving me!
6. Thank You, God, for my pets!
I think you get the picture. Ear plugs are optional!
