The Scripture Lady loves creating Bible review games! Here is one called “Roll ‘Em Low” to make Bible quizzing fun.
You know and I know that quizzing your kids on important facts and concepts of the Bible is important. But do your kids think your Bible review time holds any value? They will after they play this Bible activity for kids called “Roll ‘Em Low”.
Bible review games will help your children learn God’s Word in a fun way and for this one you will need to do the following:
For this activity you will need to gather a set of prepared Bible review questions written on 3 x 5 cards. For example, maybe you have been studying the life of Gideon. Prepare 10 to 12 quiz questions that you want your children to learn. On the backs of the cards, place the following point values, one on each card: 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100. It doesn’t matter how many you use of each. If I had ten questions, I would just use each point value twice. You will also need a die. I have made a large die from an 8 x 8 cubed box that I bought at my local box store. I then went onto my computer and printed some nice colorful numbers that I laminated and then adhered to each side of the cube. The numbers should just simply be 1 through 6. You are now ready to play “Roll ‘Em Low”.
Divide your class into 2 teams. Display all of the Bible review questions out on a table, point value side down. Decide which team will go first. Have a child from that team pick a card. Make sure he does not see the point value on the card. You, the teacher, will read the question to the child. If the child answers correctly, he will then take the die and roll it. Explain that each number that is rolled is like multiplying that number by ten. For example, if the student rolls a 4, the value of the roll will be 40. Now explain that whatever number is rolled, that number will be subtracted from the point value listed on the back of the Bible review question he was just asked. Reveal the point value of the quiz question. The difference of the two numbers will be the score for that team on that turn. For example, if the point value was 100, the team will score 60 for their team. It will behoove the kids to try and roll low numbers, since the team will want to walk away with the largest difference – hence, the reason for the game being called “Roll ‘Em Low”.
Enjoy!

Another version you could play, and call it roll’em high, is to multiply the point value of the review question by the number rolled. So, if a child’s question point value was 100 and they rolled a 6, the team would score 600 pts!
Great game idea, thanks for sharing!
