Often when our children are younger, they will ask us questions about who God is. It is important that we answer their questions with straightforward answers from the Bible so that they are not confused when they hear differing opinions. I believe it is crucial that our children have a handle on the basics of who God is and here are 15 Bible trivia questions that you can easily integrate into any lesson about our One and Only True God.
Bible Questions and Answers About God:
1. Question: I have told you that God made you and made all things; now tell me who is God?
Answer: God exists as the trinity – the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
2. Question: Does God have a body like yours and mine?
Answer: No. God does not have a body like yours and mine.
3. Question: Where does God live?
Answer: God lives in Heaven.
4. Question: Is God anywhere else besides Heaven?
Answer: Yes. God is everywhere.
5. Question: Is God in this room right now?
Answer: Yes. God is in this room right now and everywhere else.
(You might want to introduce the concept of omnipresence.)
6. Question: How is it that we cannot see God with our eyes?
Answer: Can you see the air? No. Yet, we live and move in the air and know without a doubt that air exists all around us.
7. Question: Does God know more than we know?
Answer: Yes. God knows everything. He knows everything that has happened in the past, present and future.
8. Question: Does God know about big things and little things?
Answer: Yes. there is nothing God does not know.
9. Question: Does God see everything I do?
Answer: Yes. God sees everything you do. He even looks at your heart and knows everything you think. (You might want to introduce the concept of omniscience.)
10. Question: Is God strong?
Answer: Yes, God is stronger than everybody. He has all power.
11. Question: Is God cruel or mean?
Answer: No. God is good and kind to all creatures.
12. Question: Does God love children?
Answer: Yes. God loves children very much.
13. Question: Does God love people who do bad things?
Answer: God loves the whole world, but He hates the bad things that people do.
14. Question: What will God do to people who do bad things?
Answer: God will punish them for doing wrong, but if a person is sorry for what they did wrong and ask God for forgiveness, God will forgive them.
15. Question: How long has God lived?
Answer: God has always lived and will always live forever
You can take these Bible trivia questions for kids and come up with your own review questions for this Bible topic of “who God is”. For instance, you can play a version of Bible Baseball or Bible Jeopardy. There are many great sites that offer great Bible review game ideas. Have fun!
