The Scripture Lady loves creating Bible review games! Here is one called “Numbers in the Bible” to teach about important numbers in the Bible.
“OK, kids! We’re going to study Numbers in the Bible today!”
Were those groans I heard? The poor book of Numbers. It’s never quite made the “Top Favorite Bible Books List”. But tell your kids to not fear. This Bible activity for kids doesn’t actually take you to the book of Numbers, but to important numbers of the Bible. For example, what is the number of people who were saved on Noah’s ark? Answer: 8. Or, what is the number of true gods? Answer: 1. “What is the number of…” is a quick, fun game that can be added anywhere in your curriculum. This is especially good for a VBS time filler.
Bible review games will help your children learn God’s Word in a fun way and for this one you will need to do the following:
1. Below you will find 15 number questions. Showcase each question on a colorful card. Laminate them for long-term use. I have provided a list of answers to all the questions below.
2. You will need a large pair of dice. I made my own dice out of a cube box I bought from a packing store and then added the numbers that I created on my computer. The bigger the better. That’s what kids love.
Here’s how to play:
Divide the class into 2 teams. One child comes up from the first team. Allow him to pick one of the “Numbers in the Bible” cards. Read the clue and have the child give an answer. If he answers correctly, his team earns 50 points. Now tell him to roll the dice to try and earn extra points for his team. But before he rolls, he must guess whether or not his roll will be less than or greater than the answer he gave to the clue. If the roll of the dice produces the correct guess of lesser or greater that he gave, then his team gets an extra 50 points. If the roll of the dice produces the incorrect guess, the other team gets 50 points. But if the roll of the dice produces the exact number the child gave to the clue, his team gets an extra 100 points.
Numbers in the Bible never have to boring again!
