I wrote the He Loves Me Bible song based on Zephaniah 3:17 for one of my chapel programs called “I Can Love God and Others.” I wanted the the children to know that God loves them very much. In fact, God loves His children so much that the Bible says He actually rejoices over us with singing! Wow! Can you imagine how beautiful those songs must be?!!

We all have our favorite singers. Maybe some of us like Stevie Wonder or Pavarotti or Doris Day. But God’s voice must top them all.

Here’s what Zephaniah 3:17 says:

The Lord your God is with you,
    the Mighty Warrior who saves.
He will take great delight in you;
    in his love he will no longer rebuke you,
    but will rejoice over you with singing.” (NIV)
