This is how you play:
For this game, you will need to divide your kids into 2 teams. If you are a family, you could all play against one another.
Each team or person playing will need their own Bible.
Next, you will want to play a Bible verse song of your choice. Ideally, you want the Bible verse song to include the reference to the scripture such as John 3:16 or Romans 3:23. I always tell kids that the reference to a Bible verse is like its address.
If your song does not have the reference, then the game will be a little harder. This means that the players will have to already know the reference by heart.
You are ready to play. Put the Bible verse song on and everyone has to listen for what verse is being played. The first person to find the scripture in the Bible is the winner.
This Bible memory verse activity will definitely help your kids become more comfortable with the books of the Bible. It should also spur your kids onto fully memorizing the verse so that it can be hidden in their hearts and minds.
