Thank you for downloading a Scripture Lady Bible review game for kids!
The story of David and Jonathan is a great story of friendship. Though these two men were not blood brothers, they were brothers in spirit and in the Lord. They wanted the best for each other, which is the way every friendship should be.
I included the story of David and Jonathan in my musical Bible program called “Help Me Be a Friend.” The story shows the highs and lows of their friendship along with their courage to say, “Goodbye,” to each other when they knew David was in danger.
As I was putting the program together, I started wondering what game I could pair the story with. The old TV classic, “Family Feud,” came to my mind. But instead of “Family Feud” I call my game “Friendly Feud” and I made up some “friendship” categories that you can share with you kids.
I present the Bible story of David and Jonathan along with the “Friendly Feud” game as cohesive PowerPoint/Keynote presentation. I have provided you with all the slides that you can use to create your own presentation.
This is what you will find below:
* Instructions of how to play the game
* 26 downloadable pictures / slides for the game. – Size of each picture: 8.5 x 11 inches
* An instructional video (Coming in the future.)
* A presentation video (You can show this to the children while playing the game.) (Coming in the future.)
* All the files are jpeg files.
How to Download the Files
- RIGHT click over the name of the file you want to download and you should be given the choice of where on your computer you want to save the file.
- Once the file is saved to your computer, you can now locate where you saved it then print it as you desire.
Here’s how to play the “Friendly Feud” Game for Elementary Kids:
First, I set up 2 tables and place a “bell ringer” on each one. A “bell ringer” is the kind of bell you often see at a hotel desk to ring for help. You can purchase them at your local office supply store.
Choose a child to be the scorekeeper.
Divide your kids into 2 teams.
Share the first part of the story of David and Jonathan. Then play part one of “Friendly Feud.”
You will read the category. The first child to ring their bell, gets to make the first choice. Encourage them at the beginning of the game to make choices that they feel most people would choose. This will give them the greatest number of points.
The child will choose from the 6 choices you present them on the next slide.
Now give the other child who rang in second the chance to choose from the list.
Next, go to the third slide within the topic and find out how many points each choice gets. The scorekeeper will keep this number on the scoreboard.
Pick 2 new kids to play and repeat the process with the second parts of the story and game.
Have fun!

Best Practices for this Bible Review Game
- If you want to create a Power Point presentation of the game like you see in the presentation video above, download the files below to do so.
- You can use as many balls as you like per play.
- Lay down a strip of tape a distance from your target for the child to stand behind from which he will throw.
- Practice reading through the script of pictures / slides. Because much of it is poetic, you want to do your best and have as much fun with the wording as possible.
Downloadable Files
These files may be used to create your own PowerPoint/Keynote presentation. Another option is to print the pictures on card stock and laminate for long term use. Place the cards in order and show them so that the whole class can see each card as you progress through the game.
