“If you sing it, it will stick.” This statement has truly become my motto for helping children of all ages hide God’s Word in their hearts. With each Bible song I write, I take great joy in knowing that eventually the listener or singer will be singing God’s words and truths.

Writing Bible verse songs was really the beginning of my ministry. One of the first songs I wrote was for Galatians 5:22-23, which teaches the “Fruit of the Spirit.” Having been raised in a house in which my mom loved all kinds of music, I chose a jazzy feel for proclaiming the Holy Spirit’s fruit. This song has been sung probably a thousand times since its birth and I still love snapping along to it.
Before I knew it I had put together 4 CD’s of 75 Bible verse songs that include such scriptures as John 3:16, Romans 3:23, Romans 6:23, and songs for the Lord’s Prayer and the Ten Commandments. I have been singing and performing them for the past 19 years and am still not tired of them.
About 5 years ago, I put together 2 new CD’s filled with some of the most beloved hymns. I, myself, was raised in a church that sang these wonderful, timeless treasures and I wanted to introduce them to the children I minister to during my programs. Some of the titles include “Amazing Grace,” “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms,” “This is My Father’s World,” and “He’s Got the Whole World in His Hands.” Many of them were written at the beginning of the 20th century, so I decided to spice them up a bit for our children of this age. I enjoy sharing them during my programs and watching this new generation learn about God through these beautiful songs.
As time has progressed, I found myself branching off to other types of Bible songs such as “Bible Literacy Songs,” “Bible Story Songs,” “Bible Theme Songs,” and “Timeless Sunday School Songs.” Each of these categories has been so much fun to explore and I find that the children are learning and listening to God’s Word through these creative songs with a new sense of fun!
Finally, the last category of music I have been writing for are “Holiday Songs” filled with biblical truths. What a joy it is to be able to share God’s truths throughout our wonderful holidays whether it’s Christmas or even during the harvest season of October. I love coming up with creative ways to share the beloved stories of of all the holidays!
