Bible Verse Games for Preschoolers for Job 37:14: Consider God’s Wonders

Bible verse games are great for preschoolers too! Here is one for Job 37:14 called “Consider God’s Wonders.”

I love Job 37:14.  It says this: “Stop! And consider God’s wonders.”  There are so many wonderful wonders all around us to ponder.  Preschoolers are especially great at taking time to enjoy God’s beauty.  They are quick to spy a sweet little ladybug on a leaf or the preciousness of a puppy.  Here is a fun preschool Bible verse game to help your little ones understand that God loves it when we admire His handiwork.  I call it “God’s Wonders That Begin with…D”.

Getting Ready:

Bible verse games are fun and for this one you will need to find or perhaps create a large picture with lots of items found in God’s creation.  For example, your picture might include images of apples, butterflies, clouds, daisies, elephants, flamingos, grass and a helicopter.  If you noticed, each of the examples follow the alphabet.  Don’t feel like you need an image for each letter, but the more of the alphabet that is represented, the better.  (Hah! That rhymes!)  Next, create a set of alphabet cards of the letters used in your picture.  Place these in a bag or a bucket from which the children will pick.  Finally, get or create a stop sign.  The kind that a crossing guard uses is a nice size.  You also might want to dress up like a policeman/woman to have some extra fun.  You are now ready to play this activity.

How to play:

After introducing the verse and lesson, have the children run or skip around a designated area in your room.  Make sure all will be safe.  Then you, the teacher, will hold up your stop sign and shout, “Stop! And consider God’s wonders.”  At this point the children should drop to the floor and sit.  Pick a child to choose a letter out of the alphabet bag.  He then gets to look at the large picture and try and find a wonder of God that begins with the letter he is holding.  After he does this, tell the class to stand up and start running again and repeat the whole game.

Here is fun way to introduce the lesson:

Who can tell me one thing that God has made?  (Wait for responses.)  My picture shows many wonderful things or wonders that God has made.  For example, I see a butterfly.  Butterfly begins with the letter “B”.  I also see some grass.  Grass begins with the letter “G”. God loves it when we think about or consider His wonderful wonders.  Job 37:14 says, “Stop! And consider God’s wonders.”  Let’s play a fun game to help us learn more about God’s wonderful wonders.
