“The Mighty Power of God” Bible hymn for kids sung by Scripture Granny is one of my favorite songs to share that teaches about God’s mighty power. I was introduced to this great hymn about a year ago. I loved the words written by Isaac Watts in 1715, but I wanted the tune to be a bit more upbeat for the kids. Therefore, I wrote a new tune along with a new chorus and gave it to my wonderful character, Scripture Granny, to sing. The kids have really enjoyed it and I hope your kids will, too.

As mentioned earlier, I am providing you with a poem that you can share with your young children along with some pictures that you can download and print. I would suggest turning the pictures into stick “puppets.” Cut out each picture along the line down the center of each page then attach each picture to a popsicle stick or paint stick. As you read the poem, you can have 5 or 6 children hold the “puppets” and have them come forward during their part of the poem.
