“Let’s Learn the Easter Story” is one of The Scripture Lady’s Bible story order songs. The Easter story is broken up into 6 parts. As the children sing along, they will learn about the main events of this amazing historical event.

Your kids will learn about “The Last Supper,” “Jesus in the Garden,” “Jesus on the Cross,” “Jesus in the Tomb,” “Jesus Rises from the Dead,” and “Jesus Ascends to Heaven.”

A Bible Game

Jesus Prayed in the Garden – A Bible Game

Illustrations of biblical characters Peter, James, and John for a preschool Bible game.

Most gardens are very beautiful and peaceful. Jesus went to a Garden called Gethsemane to pray to God the Father for the strength to give His life upon the cross and to take our sin upon Himself. The Scripture Lady uses her Bible Story Boxes to help tell this story of Jesus in the garden along with His friends Peter, James and John. With the help of adding some different words to the favorite classic, “Frere Jaques,” your little ones will learn that Peter, James and John did not have the strength to stay awake while Jesus prayed to God.

A Bible Story

The Three Crosses – A Creative Poem for when Jesus Died on the Cross

Cover of a creative poem titled 'The Three Crosses' about Jesus' death.

Once there were 3 crosses

Made out of wood

It was on a lonely hill

Where the 3 crosses stood

These are the first four lines of The Scripture Lady’s poem, “The Three Crosses.” The point at when Jesus died on the cross is the saddest part of the Easter story. While your preschoolers are young and sensitive, this presentation of Jesus on the cross is presented carefully and appropriately for their age. They will learn that there were 3 crosses on the hill where Jesus died. Jesus was on the middle cross, while two men were on either side of Jesus. And they will learn that Jesus gave His life to take away their sin.

A Bible Object Lesson

The Tomb is Empty – A Bible Object Lesson

Illustration of an empty tomb with glowing light, symbolizing resurrection.

Perhaps the most mysterious part of the Easter story was when two women, both named Mary, came to the tomb where Jesus had been buried only to learn that Jesus was NOT in the tomb, but that the tomb was empty! This lesson will also be a bit mysterious for your little ones as The Scripture Lady uses a special prop to show that Jesus rose from the dead!

A Jack and Jill Song

A Scruffy Skit

Scruffy Looks for Jesus

This Easter chapel ends with a favorite of all the preschoolers. It’s Scruffy, The Scripture Lady’s pet dog. In this skit, Scruffy learns that after Jesus rose from the dead, He later went back up to Heaven. Scruffy tries to look for Jesus with his little telescope, but can’t find him. That’s when The Scripture Lady explains that because Jesus now lives in Heaven, we can’t see Jesus with our eyes, but one day we will see Him face to face.

Time to Pray

Let’s Pray!

Finally, every chapel ends with a time of prayer. The Scripture Lady will lead your children in a prayer of thanksgiving for the Easter story and all that Jesus did for each one of us who believes in Him.
