Do you ever tell your children, “Don’t be a mister lazy bones!”? Our children need to learn that God wants them to be hard workers – not to earn their salvation – but out of a great love for all that God has done for them.
Colossians 3:24 says this: “Whatever you do work heartily as for the Lord and not for man.”
I wanted to write a song that would help children learn the importance of hard work and responsibility. “Don’t Be a Mister Lazy Bones” is a song that teaches this truth.
For this song, I use my “Bible Story Boxes” which are a great way to keep the kids engaged with the song and its truth.
