What Is a Scripture Rebus?
A Scripture Rebus uses pictures to represent words or parts of words in Bible verses. For example, the word “the” might be illustrated by a thumb minus the letters “MB,” or “of”
could be shown as a picture of a shirtsleeve cuff minus the letter “C.” These visual clues turn scripture into a fun puzzle, helping children understand and memorize God’s Word more easily.
Why Use Rebus Bible Verses with Kids?
Creating and solving rebus Bible verses is a joyful activity that encourages critical thinking and biblical engagement. Kids love the challenge of deciphering the clues, and it’s a fantastic way to reinforce memory of scripture in a playful, interactive manner. Fun Activities with Bible Rebus Puzzles:

Who is the Scripture Lady?
