Scripture Lady’s Bible Verse Games: Soaring, Running, Walking – Learning Isaiah 40:30-31

The Scripture Lady loves creating Bible verse games for kids! Here is one called “Soaring, Running, Walking” to help learn Isaiah 40:30-31.

Did you know the Bible talks about soaring, running and walking through life?  It does.

Isaiah 40:30-31 says: “Even youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength.  They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”  Wow!  I think it’s safe to say that all of us have had times of soaring, running and walking through this life.  And those of us who are children of God can profoundly say, “And He’s been with me every step of the way!”

Our kids need to know that God will always keep in step with them as well.  They need to remember that He will never leave them when they are soaring on the heights of success or walking or even crawling through the valleys of despair.  He will always be there with them ready to renew their strength.

Bible verse games will help your kids hide God’s Word in their hearts and for this one you will need to do the following:

First, help the kids memorize Isaiah 40: 31 then go outside with a piece of chalk and draw a huge circle the kids can run around on.  Next, write the word soaring on 3 index cards, the word running on another 3 and the word walking on another 3.  Place them in a bucket or a hat.  Now line the kids around the circle.  Pick one child to pick a card.  If the card says soaring, have the kids spread their arms out like birds and “soar” around the circle while saying the verse at the same time.  If the card says running, have them run around and likewise for walking.   If you really wanted to get crazy, have them soar, run and walk backwards.  Afterwards, share how God has been faithful to you.
